My brother sent this website to me and it's just too cool what modern clothes can do to classical sculptures!

Peggy Guggenheim
An other eccentric and inspiring woman was Peggy Guggenheim. She was a bohemian and socialite american woman borne in to a wealthy family. During her years she created a big and famous art collection primarily between 1938 and 1946. In 1949 after some years in Europe she moved her whole collection to Venice in Italy and opened up for the public. Peggy died in Venice in 1979.
I just love her for her strong business mind and for her cool style. Love her glasses!!!

Even found a very old picture of me from Swedish Elle 2006 with Peggy's glasses :)

Ivory vintage shooting
We at Ivory- vintage & luxury www.facebook.com/ivoryvintage together with photographer www.lovebynikkadimroci.com and makeup artist Chiara Cantù are organizing vintage photo shootings for events like bachelorette parties, birthdays, engagements or just for fun.
Yesterday afternoon we had a lovely young couple over for a shooting in 50's style. Sweet Luca had been surprising his girlfriend with this unexpected gift and she was so happy (and lucky having a boyfriend like him). We were all stunned by their beauty and the pictures will turn out great!
If you are interested in booking a vintage shooting with us just contact me or us at Ivory.
Here are some backstage pics from yestarday:

Iris Apfel
Gray day, gray economy, gray people...
Sometimes it feels like I'm fighting an uphill battle trying to get this world a prettier place. I love color and I'm allways getting happier when I see people expressing them selfs dressing up in an extravagant way mixing vintage, last season fashion, big jewelery or what ever they like but that make them unique.
I'm trying to dress up in my own way not focusing on what other people might think, but unfortunately, I rarely ever see anyone else doing it.... Around me I just see girls and boys, women and men that look like clones, all the same... Isn't it sad?
Am I the only one longing for a world where people can look different but still be accepted by the group?
In Italy we are going through a dull period right now and you can see it clearly on the streats, small boutiques have a hard time and they are closing down one after an other and big commercial shops take over, making the street fashion even more unilateral.
I so adore Iris Apfel, a famous american fashion and style consult, who is proud of who she is and never afraid of overdoing it.
My dream is to see more people like her around, with unchained personalities, not afraid to show the world who they really are!

Turbans
Going to Dubai on Wednesday and can't help getting inspired by the queen of Qatar even though it's a differnet country... Always loved turbans and I think she is the best modern example of how chic and exclusive it can make you look.
Isn't she just amazing!

Here are some other turban inspiration pics. Can't get enough of the magnificent vintage style you can create :)

And last but not least. 40's turban from facebook.com/ivoryvintage
(photo Massimo Pisati)
and me in a homemade creation...
or why not a summer version

Todays location
Today's photo shoot took place in a very interesting location. In the area of Porta Nuova in Milano they have renovated, in a very careful and cool way, an old church bell factory. You can book it for different events and exept from fashion jobs I could imagine a luxury art exhibition or even a wedding in this environment.

Wedding weekend
A couple of really good friends of ours are getting married in Sirmione at the Garda lake this weekend and I'm so happy!
Working half day today and then we're off for 3 days full of love <3
Sirmione is such a romantic small town just by the lake and it's perfect for a wedding.
(pictures borrowed from pinterest)
Packing has never been one of my best skilles though, but since the weather is quite good and we are there only until Sunday it should not be too hard.
For the wedding I will wear an amazing second hand coat dress from Antonio Marras and a pair of pretty 50's vintage shoes. For this evening and sunday I'll go for a sportier but yet chic look...
(Will show you more pics after the wedding)
